Bulgarian MEPs and experts took part in the European Forum ‘For Better Opportunities for Women on the Labor Market and in the Politics,’ organized by the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe at the European Parliament in Brussels on November 7, 2007.
Finnish, Estonian, French and Austrian MEPs from the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe organized a public discussion entitled ‘For Better Opportunities for Woment on the Labor Market and in the Politics’ on November 7, 2007, in Brussels. The President of the European Parliament, Prof. Hans-Gert Pöttering and the Vice-President of the European Commission Margot Wallström personally greeted the participants, whose number exceeded 100 people. The MEP Anneli Jäätteenmäki, a former Prime-Minister of Finland, chaired the sessions. The Bulgarian MEP Filiz Hyusmenova, a leader in the MRF list, took part in the debates. The event was co-organized by Spanish and Italian non-governmental organizations. The Deputy Minister of Justice, Sabrie Sapunjieva was also invited, and she attended together with Bulgarian experts and representatives of the Association of the Mountain Regions in the Republic of Bulgaria.
